This was the ninth round for the series.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3041\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/BuddsCreek_FerrandisWin-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe battle continues in the 450 class. In the first lap, Ken Roczen was out front capitalizing on his momentum from last weekend at Unadilla. Dylan Ferrandis made a late-race attack on Roczen. Roczen held on for the win. Roczen grabbed the holeshot in the second moto. Ferrandis was back on Roczen\u2019s rear tire, this time successfully taking over the lead. Ferrandis grabbed the win and overall for the weekend.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3045\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/BuddsCreek_JustinCooper-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, when the gate dropped in the first moto, Justin Cooper was out front with the holeshot. Jett Lawrence quickly moved through the field but wasn\u2019t able to do any better than second. Cooper won the moto. In the second moto, Jeremy Martin had the holeshot and never looked back. Cooper\u2019s fourth place finish in the second moto would earn Martin the overall for Budds Creek.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3044\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/BuddsCreek_Roczen-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis continues to lead Roczen in the points standings. It is still an extremely tight battle between Justin Cooper and Jett Lawrence. Justin Barcia was the closest rider within striking distance of Ferrandis by four seconds but the laps and time on the clock dwindled down and it was too late. Ferrandis had secured the victory. In Moto two, Ferrandis and Eli Tomac were battling for the lead. Ferrandis began having bike issues and his team posted \u201cno clutch\u201d on their sign board. Ken Roczen was also in the mix, but Tomac quickly made a move for the lead and the win. Roczen finished second. Ferrandis managed a third-place finish giving him the overall and more points for the season lead.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2855\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Southwick_HunterLawrence-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the first 250 moto, RJ Hampshire was in the lead, but a mistake allowed Michael Mosiman to get around Hampshire for the lead. Mosiman went down after battling with Jett Lawrence. A few laps later Jalek Swoll and Jett Lawrence both went down in crashes. In the end Hunter Lawrence took the victory. In the second moto, Hampshire was back out front, but another crash would end his lead. Justin Cooper moved to the lead, but Hunter Lawrence wasn\u2019t having any of it, sweeping both motos and grabbing the overall. Massive crowds come out to watch the best of the best race for at the famed track in Buchanan, Michigan.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2811\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/RedBud_DylanFerrandis-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\u00a0 <img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2813\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/RedBud_EliTomac-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn first 450 moto, Aaron Plessinger started with the lead, but Roczen made a move to get out front. Dylan Ferrandis charged past Roczen for the lead and held it all the way to the finish. \u00a0Plessinger was back in the lead for the second moto. Eli Tomac took that away from Plessinger. Near the end of the moto, Ken Roczen went down in a crash sending him flying off the bike. Tomac won the moto and Ferrandis took the overall win. Ferrandis leads the points standings and keeps the red plate.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2815\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/RedBud_RJHampshire-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2816\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/RedBud_JustinCooper-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn 250 moto one, Justin Cooper had the holeshot. His lead was extremely short lived as he tumbled off the bike in a crash. Jett Lawrence went on to win the moto with RJ Hampshire finishing second. Hampshire crashed at twice and was able to recover both times and battle for second. In the second moto, Cooper made a repeat move with the holeshot. Things didn\u2019t so smoothly for Jett Lawrence. He went down and had most of the field pass him before rejoining the race. RJ Hampshire made a major charge pressuring Cooper to take over the lead. Unfortunately, another crash would allow Cooper to regain his lead position and the moto win. The win was not enough for an overall because he had crashed in the first moto. RJ Hampshire\u2019s second place finishes gave him the overall win for the round. The top riders are proving they aren\u2019t going down without a fight this season.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2564\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ThunderValley_Adam-Cianciarulo-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn 450 Moto one, Adam Cianciarulo grabbed the holeshot. Ken Roczen wasted no time charging towards the front passing Dylan Ferrandis, then Cianciarulo. Cianciarulo kept the pressure on Roczen. He made the pass with just 10 minutes to go in the moto. Ferrandis also seized an opportunity to move into second past Roczen. Cianciarulo and Ferrandis battled for the lead. Ferrandis finally got what he wanted but soon Roczen moved back into second with a head to head battle. Two laps to go, Roczen forced Ferrandis into a mistake allowing him to capitalize on the lead and win the moto by just over three seconds.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2569\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ThunderValley_RoczenOne-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2570\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ThunderValley_RoczenTrophies-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nCooper Webb snagged the second moto holeshot, but Roczen again was on a mission battling his way to the lead. The win for Roczen put him in the points lead and secured the red plate for the next venue. Dylan Ferrandis and Justin Barcia were on the podium in second and third.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2565\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ThunderValley_Justin-Cooper-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, moto one saw Jeremy Martin and Jett Lawrence battling for the lead. A red flag came out on the first lap and there was a complete restart. Justin Cooper snagged the holeshot with 39 riders behind him. Martin wasn\u2019t far off in second. He worked hard to finally make it to the front in the middle of the moto. Martin used the lap traffic to his advantage opening up a gap and securing his second win of the season.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2567\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/ThunderValley_JettLawrence-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the second moto, Justin Cooper once again had the holeshot. Jett Lawrence applied pressure to Cooper for the lead. Jett Lawrence went to work and by the end of the moto had an impressive 15 seconds on Cooper. Huge crowds gathered to watch racing action.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2503\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/FoxRaceway_MXPack-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nWhen the gate dropped for the 450 class, newly crowned Supercross Champion Cooper Webb had the holeshot. Adam Cianciarulo, who was the fastest on the track during practice rounds made his way to the lead. Ten minutes into the moto, Cianciarulo crashed on a downhill, opening the door for Webb and Ferrandis to battle for the lead. Ferrandis made a pass on Webb for the lead. Chase Sexton attempted to pass Ferrandis at the last minute but was unsuccessful. Ferrandis took the Moto 1 victory.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2500\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/FoxRaceway_KenRoczen-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn Moto 2, Aaron Plessinger took the holeshot. Ken Roczen was on a mission to get to the front. Roczen and Plessinger battled for the lead. Roczen forced Plessinger into a mistake and gained the lead and eventual victory. Ferrandis finished third earning him enough points for the overall win for the round.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2505\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/FoxRaceway_Jeremy-Martin-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe 250-class started out with young guns out front. Max Vohland grabbed the holeshot. Halfway through the first moto, Jeremy Martin had made his way to the front. Vohland would pull off the track with an unfortunate bike issue.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2506\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/FoxRaceway_JustinCooper-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the second moto, Martin grabbed the holeshot, but Justin Cooper took away the lead.
