The terrain was significantly changed by the previous day rain and careful navigation was key.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMitch Guthrie Jr and co-driver Kellon Walch claimed another win in the T3 class for the CanAm Red Bull Junior Team. Guthrie Jr had tire issues putting him down on time. Chaleco had the lead until he encountered fuel issues. Guthrie Jr tops the overall rankings. Guillaume De Mevius sits second with Guthrie Jr\u2019s Red Bull Junior Teammate Austin Jones sitting third. Jones finished just off the podium in today\u2019s stage.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMason Klein was on a roll as things got started and led most of the rally. The Dakar is very unforgiving and a fueling tank issue would take Klein out of contention for the stage. The course included mountain ranges at altitudes of 1,300 meters or 4,200 feet.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe wins continue for the Americans. Mitch Guthrie Jr and co-driver Kellon Walch claimed a win for the Red Bull Junior Team in the T3 class. The win came on Walch\u2019s birthday. \u00a0\"Kellon did great today with navigation and the car was awesome,\" said Guthrie Jr.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the car class, Nasser Al-Attiyah took the victory with Toyota Gazoo Racing. Al-Attiyah stayed cautious on course and drove smart. Several of the experienced drivers such as Sebastien Loeb and Stephane Peterhansel experienced problems on the route. Carlos Sainz still tops the overall ranking.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the bike class, 21-year old Mason Klein, a little-known American from California who raced the Dakar in 2022 as a rookie claimed a big win in Stage 2.
