Sohren quickly rose to fame driving Trophy Trucks without the budget of the larger race teams. Czajkowski is best known for the \u201cMarlin Crawler.\u201d Block was best known as a Rally Champion, racing anything he could his hands on. Meantime Johnny Greaves who has dozens of short course titles and championships is still at it, currently racing in the Championship Off-Road Racing series. Jimmy Lewis brings multiple motorcycle wins and is currently in charge of NORRA\u2019s motorcycle rally program.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nRod Millen has raced professionally since the 1970\u2019s winning in every major race event. Jon Nelson best known for his Nelson and Nelson Racing Products were used by legends such as Walker Evans and Larry Minor. Mike Pearlman, the son of Ed Pearlman resurrected the wildly popular NORRA Rally in Baja. Jon Rettie has had images published all-around the world, photographing the most well known motorsports events. Rettie will also be inducted posthumously after passing away in June. Jimmy Smith has been involved in the off-road industry for over forty years, co-founding Ultra Wheels.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nEveryone knows Scott Steinberger, following in his dad\u2019s footsteps taking over innovations in communication at PCI radios and the infamous \u201cWeatherman Relay.\u201d \u00a0Evelyn Tallman-Duceshi is known as the \u201cPurple Lady of Pismo.\u201d She has been actively involved in recreational off-roading at the Oceano dunes in Pismo since 1960.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\u201cThe ORMHOF Gala is off-road\u2019s biggest night of the year. The \u201cWeatherman\u201d is a critical radio link to communications in Baja, assisting racers. Steinberger has participated in NORRA since it was resurrected in 2010.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cI\u2019ve always loved being in Baja,\u201d says Scott. \u201cWhen I raced the Baja 1000, it was always a lot of stress. You went down there, and it was always something you had to tough out. You would hope to finish, but if you didn\u2019t your time was up. You would turn North, and go home exhausted; everything was just a blur. NORRA has the same racing challenges, but gives you several days to enjoy the entire Baja experience. You get to cherish Baja, and all the friends you make along the way. COVID restrictions in Baja Sur forced officials to keep the event in the northern half of Baja. Traditionally the rally goes all the way to San Jose Del Cabo. The events for the NORRA rally kicked off at the famous Horsepower Ranch just outside of Ensenada. Only participants of the rally were allowed on the property after passing strict COVID protocols.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe rally started in Santo Tomas and wound its way over the peninsula towards the fishing village of San Felipe. It was a mostly easy day for the participants. On the second day, the 243-mile course ended in Bahia De Los Angeles. The course will continue south near Guerrero Negro before heading back to Bahia De Los Angeles again. The course continues to north for another San Felipe finish. On the final day racers will end at Horsepower Ranch where an awards ceremony will be held.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThere are a number of vintage vehicles entered in the NORRA rally that help celebrate Baja\u2019s rich racing history. Mark McMillin is racing the famous \u201cMacadu\u201d buggy. Dana Dague\u2019s PalapaBoy racing team is racing a 1991 Nissan Hardbody pickup truck in memory of the late Spencer Low. Other vehicles include Schampa\u2019s Class 11 entry, and a few early Broncos.
