The 23\u2011year\u2011old racer made the difficult decision, citing ongoing pain and repeated setbacks stemming from the injury.\r\n\r\nRobertson's year began with promise as part of Triumph Factory Racing\u2019s formidable four\u2011rider lineup\u2014joining teammates like Austin Forkner and Jordon Smith. However, his season unraveled quickly: a wrist injury first struck during the initial Monster Energy Supercross race in Anaheim, severely limiting his performance. Despite his efforts to rehabilitate, Robertson re\u2011injured the wrist at Round 1 of Pro Motocross in Pala, California.\r\n<p data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1110\">\u201cI\u2019ve made a really hard decision, but with my wrist injury still bothering me, I am stepping away from professional racing.\u201d \u201cI\u2019ve been at the practice track supporting the other riders on the team this summer and I\u2019ve been really enjoying it, as well as helping develop Triumph\u2019s amateur racing program,\u201d said Robertson.<\/p>\r\nAlthough Robertson is stepping back from professional competition, he remains active within the sport\u2014lending his experience to coaching at team practice sessions and aiding the development of Triumph\u2019s amateur racing program. After a year off, King of the Motos was back. A record 175 riders entered the two-day event. Riders were challenged by giant boulders and jagged rock sections on the toughest 40-mile course in the desert.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6452\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2023KingOfTheMotos-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe event began Saturday morning with a single lap Prologue event that determined starting positions for the first race. Will Riordan earned himself the pole position. Saturday afternoon the race started with a gnarly land rush start straight up a rocky hillside. It was chaos as riders got stuck attempting to find their way through the section. Trystan Hart led the pace, quickly separating from the field. Hart kept a three-minute lead over Cody Webb. Both have won King of the Motos. Webb has won five times. Hart took the victory in 2021.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6453\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2023KingoftheMotos_TrystanHartWin-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the second race on Sunday, riders had to complete two laps, starting at the bottom of Chocolate Thunder. Colton Haaker led the first of the racers through keeping ahead of the carnage behind him. By the first checkpoint, both Trystan Hart and Cody Webb were back out front with a big lead. Webb stayed consistently behind Hart until a GPS error led Webb off-course where he lost valuable time. One major change to 2021 is that are no scheduled events in California. The usual opening round at Anaheim stadium has been moved. The first three rounds will be held in Houston, Texas at NRG Stadium. The season will also start a couple of weeks later than normal with the event being held on January 18<sup>th<\/sup>. Seventeen rounds of Supercross are on the schedule. All of the triple-crown events are on hold for 2021.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1553\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/SX-2021-Schedule-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe rounds scheduled for Glendale, Arizona have also been removed. Supercross will instead hold events in Orlando, Florida and Salt Lake City, Utah. Organizers had to make a tough decision with the current attendance restrictions and local health guidelines. The final event of the season will be held at Rice-Eccles stadium in Salt Lake City on May 1<sup>st<\/sup>.
