\r\n\r\nA week of nasty monsoon weather in Nevada forced course officials to alter the race course several times right up to race day. A transfer section in Tonopah took racers off course and onto trailers before restarting again to avoid water traps. \u201cWe had a great race thanks to no mistakes and no flats,\u201d said Ryan Arciero. Arciero finished minutes ahead of Bryce Menzies.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/2022-BITD-Vegas-to-Reno_coleman-1024x683.jpg\")

\r\n\r\nThe race featured a two-day format. Vehicles raced four laps on a 17-mile course that included the famous \u201croad crossing.\u201d The course features a high-speed straight section before it crosses over the pavement at Needles Highway. Usually by the time vehicles reach the pavement, they have enough speed to literally fly over the road. There were five heats each day. Winning times were combined into an overall finish from both days of racing.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/LaughlinDesertClassic_Grabowski-1024x683.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nTwenty-five trucks were entered in the highly competitive 6100 class. Andrew Meyers took a Saturday victory over Dustin Grawbowski. Sunday was the same story with Meyers getting the overall. There are now several major changes to the schedule.\r\n\r\n\u201cWith this lingering world pandemic and following extensive discussions and further analysis with Mexican Federal, State, Municipal authorities along with all of our other significant stakeholders, we have revised our 2020 race schedule, reducing the series to three races,\u201d stated Jose A. Grijalva, SCORE President\/Race Director. \u201cBased on the economic impact and in support of our racers, the 2nd SCORE Baja 400 will not take place in 2020 and the SCORE Baja 1000 will move from a point-to-point race to a single loop race.\u201d\r\n\r\nThe Baja 500 will take place June 17-21. \r\n\r\nPro-2 saw a much fuller field of trucks compared to the first event at Victorville. Mason Thomas was out front early in the race. He had a lot of pressure from RJ Anderson who made the pass for the lead and took the win. Ronnie Anderson stepped up behind the wheel of his brother RJ\u2019s 11-year old Pro-2 on Sunday. Ronnie Anderson was out front as soon as the green flag dropped and never looked back. A right rear flat tire would hurt Dave Mason Jr\u2019s chances for a win putting him one lap down. The Concrete Motorsports Team pulled off another win at the recent Best in the Desert Silver State 300. The team comes off of a January Parker 425 win and 2020 season championship. \r\n\r\nThe 300-mile Silver State 300 was run as a point-to-point race, starting in Alamo, Nevada. Ray Griffith took home a victory in the 6100-class finishing just 13-seconds ahead of Justin Blower. Dustin Grabowski finished third, just minute behind Griffith.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2021SilverState300_Blurton-300x200.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nThe UTV classes always see a large number of entries and the Silver State 300 was no exception. Phil Blurton and Beau Judge grabbed the overall victory in their Can-Am.
