\r\n\r\nAfter several days of qualifying runs at the King of the Hammers, it was Paul Wolff who had the fastest time blasting through boulders bigger than the RV\u2019s on the lakebed. Raul has two back-to-back wins at the King of the Hammers. JP also won in 2024. \u00a0All of the brothers are highly competitive. Kyle Chaney secured a historic win at the Race of Kings beating out all of the Ultra4 cars to victory in a CanAm UTV.[\/caption]\r\n\r\n\u201cWe had a good car last year, this year we put a lot of effort into this race. To come out here and win, it was awesome,\u201d said Chaney. Co-driver Terry Madden helped Chaney out on the rock trails. Both have extensive experience at the Hammers. Like Chaney, Madden has never gotten a win in the King of the Hammers premiere class. Paul Wolff passes Loren Healy in the rocks at Jackhammer.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nThe day was drama filled at the Race of Kings. Paul Wolff started out front after securing the top qualifying spot. Loren Healy quickly took command of the race in the desert loop but struggled when he got to Jack Hammer. Wolff re-took the lead as Healy went down with mechanical issues and was forced to withdraw. Former king JP Gomez found himself in the lead on lap 3 but was passed by Josh Blyler. JP then had to stop and get out to change a tire. Up ahead Blyler was down with mechanical issues. Both he and his co-driver were out of the car attempting repairs. As both of those drivers were stopped on course near Kings Vito, Chaney took over the lead and never looked back. Wolff blew a transmission at the finish line sending the team to immediately go fix the problem and get the car ready for Saturday\u2019s race. Loren Healy navigated his Fun Haver Ford Bronco through the rock sections for a third overall qualifying spot. Healy has previously won the King of the Hammers and is a fan favorite for a win in the Race of Kings. The course wound its way through some of the creek beds and up waterfalls along the Grand River. There were plenty of water crossings and if drivers weren\u2019t careful the water would cause engines to seize and parts to vapor lock. \r\n\r\nIn the end, Bryan Crofts came away with the 4400-class win. Crofts ran a near perfect race that put him on course for almost 2 hours, navigating through waterfalls, rock climbs and sometimes lap traffic that was stuck on the rocks. Points from the West series were totaled from April\u2019s Big Sky race in Montana, Visions which was part of the National Series and Crandon. While Paul Wolff struggled at Disney, he had secured enough points to bring home the West championship.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/2023-U4-Disney_LorenHealy-1024x683.jpg\")
\r\n\r\nAlso winning a Championship was Loren Healy, driving a fun-haver Bronco. Healy also took home a first place at Disney. In the 4500 Modified Class, Duane Garretson won the championship. Cody St Claire took home a win in the class at Disney. In the 4800 Legends class, Ryan Webb struggled all season and secured his first win at Disney. Jeremy Jones who was not present at Disney already had enough points throughout the season to earn the championship. Racers were allowed one \u201cdrop race\u201d this season. When the green flag dropped, Wolff launched through the woods and never looked back. Less than halfway through the race, Wolff had already found himself picking his way through lap traffic. Wolff continued on a mission taking the checkered flag just two hours later followed by Brian Crofts and Vaughn Gittin Jr. Bad luck struck Loren Healy again. \r\n\r\nOver in the Everyman Challenge category, Jeremy Jones finished ahead of the pack in the 4800 legends class. Cody St Clair also finished in the top podium spot in the 4500 modified class. The 4600 stock vehicles ran Thursday afternoon at Visions.
