Racing started with several classes of World Cup events.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn Pro-2. Doug Mittag battled back and forth with Jerett Brooks for the lead. Brooks ended up pulling off the track leaving Rob MacCachren to chase down Mittag. Mittag won the race taking home a $20,000 and a new Polaris RZR 1000. Corey Winner took 3rd<\/sup> on the podium. This was Winner\u2019s first weekend back in the truck after an injury at the first Championship Off-Road Race at ERX.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Leduc won the Pro-4 World Cup after his closest competitor, CJ Greaves crashed with 2 laps to go. RJ Anderson and Adrian Cenni had a hard-fought battle for 2nd<\/sup> however Cenni never made it to the podium. Cole Mamer ended up in 3rd<\/sup>.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nCole Mamer then led the Pro-Light Cup race but would pull off the track with an issue. In the end, Zach Szymik would get his first career Pro-Light victory and Cup win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe last race of the day is the famed Amsoil Cup. The race puts Pro-2\u2019s against Pro-4\u2019s. Despite a staggered start, Pro-4\u2019s catch the Pro-2 trucks. The fatest drivers then have to navigate through traffic to get to the front. RJ Anderson did just that in the final laps, winning his 2nd<\/sup> Amsoil Cup event. The series which was formed in early 2020 hosted their points rounds Saturday. The race is part of a bigger weekend of events that are held annually in Crandon.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nEvents kicked off with a private VIP party hosted at Jamey Flannery\u2019s house on the lake. Country recording artist Joe Nichols performed for attendees. The annual parade was held in downtown Crandon.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nSportsman races were held Friday afternoon at the track. Saturday, the Pro racers finally had their chance get on the track. Cole Mamer won in Pro-Light, pretty much checking out in the lead. Chad Rayford found himself in second on the podium.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTruck counts were up this year at Crandon. 19 Pro-2\u2019s showed up to race. There was plenty of the usual door banging and carnage. Jerett Brooks won the top spot on the podium.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nPro-4 was the most eventful race of the day. Jamey Flannery got underneath Bryce Menzies sending him flying in the air in a spectacular crash. A few laps later, Johnny Greaves took the lead away from Kyle Leduc. Greaves lost control just before turn one, flying through the air in a heart-stopping crash. The safety team immediately got to him and it was determined Greaves would be ok. The race finally resumed, and Kyle Leduc took the win.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn the final event of the night, Ultra-4 cars raced as part of their own points series. Bailey Cole sent his car flying into a pond, completely submerging the vehicle. Loren Healy would end up winning the race.","excerpt":"

The event was well attended by fans and the racing proved to be a success. After an extended off-season due to COVID-19, racers were happy to be back in the driver\u2019s seat.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Leduc took home a \u201cweekend sweep\u201d in Pro-4. He also celebrated a milestone 101 short-course career wins. Friday\u2019s round 1 saw Leduc cruise straight to the podium, leading all laps. Saturday, CJ Greaves was out front, but a flat tire forced him into the pits at the competition caution. Greaves stayed out on the lead lap still making the podium in third place.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Greaves had no issues sweeping the weekend in Pro-Light. This was Greaves\u2019 first weekend in the truck prepped under the Fabtech\/Winner Racing stable. The top qualifier had a successful weekend. Carson Parrish came away with a pair of second place podium trophies. Cole Mamer rounded out third on Friday\u2019s podium with Zach Szymik taking third during Saturday\u2019s round 2.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn Pro-2, Friday\u2019s round 1 podium included Keegan Kincaid, Mickey Thomas and Kyle Kleiman. Kleiman was victorious on Saturday after Ryan Beat pulled off the track with mechanical issues.
