Photo: MX Sports Pro Racing[\/caption]\r\nMax Anstie has quickly landed on his feet following his departure from Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, signing a multi-year agreement with ClubMX Yamaha that will keep the British rider with the team through the 2028 season. The deal will see the reigning FIM World SX2 Supercross Champion immediately return to competition for the remainder of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs before defending his SX2 crown in the FIM World Supercross Championship. Through ClubMX's partnership with Rick Ware Racing, Anstie will represent Rick Ware Racing in the WSX series while competing under the ClubMX banner in AMA competition.<\/p>\r\n
The 33-year-old veteran remained one of the sport's most sought-after riders, making ClubMX's signing one of the biggest rider moves of the summer. Anstie joins Max Vohland, Hunter Yoder, Coty Schock and Daven Simonson as teammates. The agreement extends beyond the current season, with Anstie committed to a full-time 250 campaign with ClubMX in both the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Aaron Plessinger will sit out the next two rounds of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship as he recovers from injuries sustained in a first-turn crash at last weekend's RedBud National. Plessinger suffered a deep laceration and significant bruising to his tailbone after the opening-lap incident in Michigan. While medical evaluations confirmed there are no fractures, the popular Ohio native will miss this weekend's Southwick National in Massachusetts and the following round at Spring Creek in Minnesota to allow the injury to heal.<\/p>\r\n
The injury required stitches immediately after the crash and forced Plessinger out of both motos at RedBud, ending what had been a consistent outdoor campaign. KTM officials indicated the additional recovery time is intended to give the fan favorite the best opportunity to return at full strength later this month.<\/p>\r\n
\"I\u2019m obviously bummed to be missing the next couple of races, but it\u2019s the right decision,\" Plessinger said in a team statement. \"The injury is painful, and I want to make sure I'm fully healed before getting back behind the gate.\"<\/p>\r\n

Shimoda became the third different winner in the first three rounds of the season despite not winning a moto. Levi Kitchen<\/span> finished second overall after winning the opening moto and charging from deep in the field to eighth in Moto 2. Nick Romano<\/span> earned the first overall podium finish of his career in third. The victory was the seventh of Shimoda\u2019s professional career and helped Honda secure its first sweep of both class wins this season. Jett is back on the track after an injury sidelined him during the Supercross season. Jett proved just how much he had recovered, going on to win the first moto with Cooper Webb finishing second and Hunter third. In the second moto, Hunter earned the holeshot. Jett wasted no time getting to the lead. As laps went on in the moto, Eli Tomac was running second applying pressure to Jett.
