Sunderland felt he was unable to race 100% after putting in a courageous effort in stage 1 and made the difficult decision to withdraw from the Rally.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThis is for sure not the way we wanted to end the season with Sam, but as he\u2019s still suffering from his pre-race crash, it was the right decision for him to withdraw after stage one. The team has three stage wins at the event. The last time a Honda rider won the title was in 2013.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nQuintanilla beat competitor Mathias Walkner, who walked away with the FIM Cross-Country Rallies world championship title this season. Toby Price won the rally in 2018 and 2019. The 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID. There were five stages of the event.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cI am very happy with the victory. It was a very difficult week and I want to thank the whole team for the great job they did. It was fantastic for us. Personally, I felt very comfortable, I was riding with great pace, with good navigation and that's very good for my confidence. I am also very motivated for the next objective, which is the Dakar.
