Jett held a comfortable lead for most of the moto until Ken Roczen began applying the pressure. Jett went down off the bike in a downhill section. He quickly remounted after Roczen and Garrett Marchbanks got by. Jett went to work, moving into second and getting and into a fierce battle with Roczen. At some point Jett got by Roczen. As Roczen tried to fight back for the lead, he went down, losing multiple positions. Jett won the moto. In the second moto, Roczen had an early lead after getting the holeshot. Behind Roczen, several riders including Jett were battling for position. By the end of the moto, Jett was on the move surging past Roczen for the lead, the win and soon the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the opening moto of the 250 class, RJ Hampshire was out front with the holeshot. One-by-one, Hunter Lawrence began picking off riding to get to the lead. Hampshire crashed allowing Haiden Deegan to get by. Both continued to battle to the end with Hampshire claiming the victory. Hunter finished the moto in third. In moto two, Levi Kitchen was the rider with the holeshot. Chance Hymas soon sprinted to the front. All eyes were on both of the Lawrence brothers on their Hondas. Jett Lawrence made his debut in the 450 class after a dominating Supercross season in the 250 class. Hunter continued forward momentum in the 250 class.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn Moto 1 for the 450 class, Jett was out front an easy holeshot. Ferrandis was running second but had no way of catching Jett who was just too fast leading wire to wire. Chase Sexton was able to get around Ferrandis at the midway point and secure second place at the checkered flag. The second moto was a repeat of Jett\u2019s stellar performance. Ferrandis this time put a little more pressure on Jett. Chase Sexton quickly inserted himself into the battle and soon it was Jett vs. Sexton. Jett finished the race with Sexton right on his rear tire coming home with a 1-1 for the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, the first Moto saw Jalek Swoll grab the holeshot. RJ Hampshire soon moved to the lead but went over the bike in a rut. Hampshire and Swoll were able to continue. Hampshire was able to come away with the moto win. In the second moto, Hunter Lawrence grabbed the holeshot and stayed out front winning wire to wire. In the first lap, Cooper Webb was running second. Throughout the race Webb continued to put pressure on Tomac. Tomac was able to hold off Webb for the win. In the second race, Chase Sexton had the lead at the start. Tomac was right behind. Unfortunately, Sexton stalled his engine a few laps later allowing Tomac to get by and take over the lead. Sexton wasn\u2019t having it and made a hard charge to regain the lead. Sexton held on to win the race with Tomac finishing second. In the third and final event of the night, Colt Nichols shot out of the gate with the lead. Tomac quickly made a pass on the first lap to take over the front spot and cruised all the way to a win. Justin Barcia managed to finish second with Sexton third. Tomac\u2019s 1-2-1 record for the night earned him the overall win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the Western Regional 250 class, Jett Lawrence and Levi Kitchen traded lead positions. A red flag would reset the clock as both riders battled again. Lawrence finally managed to stay in the lead mid-race claiming the win. In the second race, Kitchen was back out front. RJ Hampshire made a move for the lead while Lawrence was working his way from fourth. When the race ended, Hampshire had won the race, Kitchen finished second and Lawrence third. The final race of the night saw Kitchen out front again with his third holeshot of the night. Kitchen\u2019s lead didn\u2019t last long as Lawrence made his way around and brought home the win. The race originally set for January as the second round on the schedule was rained out and moved to February 18th<\/sup>.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nChase Sexton had the holeshot when the gate dropped. Cooper Webb quickly moved into second with Tomac following in third. Tomac moved around Webb and began to chase down Sexton. With just six minutes left on the clock, Sexton crashed into a corner marker. Tomac moved to the lead. Sexton remounted and held on for second until Webb made his move. Once Webb was around Sexton, he began to chase Tomac down. On the final lap, Tomac made an error, landing awkwardly into the face of a small jump. Webb charged hard and Tomac was able to hold on, claiming the win by less than a second. Tomac now ties Ricky Carmichael for all-time wins at 48.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe Western Regional 250sx were back at Oakland and just the same as the Eastern stories unfolded, a Lawrence was on the top of the podium.
