Other notable wins went to Sam Baldi in the 2-wheel drive Trophy Truck class. The win marks Baldi\u2019s first Baja victory, a life-long dream for him. Meantime, Brent Fox brought home the Spec Trophy Truck victory. \r\n\r\n\u201cIt was an up-and-down season,\u201d LaFountaine said. \u201cI wasn\u2019t 100 percent coming into the opener at Havasu, which is a really brutal, physical track, especially if you\u2019re under the weather. I struggled in the beginning, and also at round 2 in Arizona, in a technical section. After that race, I realized I really needed to focus on the technical stuff. My speed is fine when the courses are more open like motocross, but I needed to make improvements in the off-road stuff.
