Webb rode a calculated night with finishes of 4-2-3 across the three features to secure the overall victory. Three different riders won each race, but Webb\u2019s night was defined by smart, clean riding and point-saving finishes that kept him ahead of rivals. Jett Lawrence secured his third consecutive SMX title in Las Vegas. Photo: Feld Motorsports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nIn the premier 450SMX class, Jett Lawrence locked in his third consecutive world title, <\/strong>despite heavy pressure from brother Hunter and longtime rival Eli Tomac. Jett easily won the first moto. <\/em>In the second moto, Hunter crossed the line first, but Jett\u2019s strategy to finish strong paid off. A late pass on Tomac secured second place enough for the overall win and the championship. Haiden Deegan broke his collarbone after colliding with Jo Shimoda in an agressive on-track move during moto 2. Photo: Feld Motorsports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, the title race hinged on Moto 2: Shimoda, who entered the day needing only a solid finish, was knocked offline multiple times by Haiden Deegan in aggressive exchanges. Footage showed Deegan aggressively getting into Shimoda sending both riders to the ground. Shimoda quickly recovered and rode away. Deegan wasn\u2019t so lucky. He walked off the track in pain. It would later be announced Deegan had a broken collarbone. Haiden Deegan, who had been leading the 250SMX points before St. Louis suffered a crash with Levi Kitchen on the opening lap of the second moto, damaging his front brake lever. With Shimoda\u2019s win and Deegan\u2019s setback, Shimoda now leads the points by 10 heading into the final round. A second-place finish in Vegas will be enough for Shimoda to clinch even if Deegan wins. Jett commanded the moto the entire time leading wire to wire. Over in the 250 class, Haiden Deegan<\/span><\/strong> overcame a slow start to surge past Seth Hammaker<\/span><\/strong> in the closing laps. Hammaker had led virtually the entire race and demonstrated grit despite a severe qualifying crash.
