With 99% percent of the votes counted, Lombardo cruised to victory over incumbent Steve Sisolak. Lombardo held the title of Sheriff of Clark County and is an avid off-road racer competing in the Spec Truck class at the Mint 400 and Best in the Desert Races. Lombardo was the grand marshal of the 2021 Mint 400.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3960\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LombardoTTSpec-1024x656.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"410\" \/>\r\n\r\nLombardo\u2019s campaign for governor could clearly be seen on the door of his spec truck during several Nevada desert races including the 2021 Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno race. Lombardo got into off-road racing after the late John Langley asked him to co-drive in his Trophy Truck.
