Peterhansel has 14 Dakar Rally wins on his career resume.\u00a0 \u201cToday, we set a decent time and had fun in the cockpit, with nice tracks and dunes in the morning. No flats today, no navigation blunders either, so it was a good stage,\u201d said Peterhansel. Finishing in second was Sebastien Loeb. \r\n\r\n\u201cYesterday was rough. It started off really well, leading the stage and taking over the overall. As soon as all that happened, we had the gearbox let go. We had to get towed back by a T5 truck for the last 300km in the dust. We ended up getting lost, the T5 got a flat and stuck. I lost an upper A-arm, lost a wheel. It was crazy. By the end of it we only had about 20 minutes to get across the finish line or else we were going to get put into the Dakar Experience. \r\n\r\nStephane Peterhansel leads the car class for the X-Raid mini team. Nasser Al-Attiyah sits second overall with Carlos Sainz in third. Al-Attiyah finished Stage 10 in second, ahead of Peterhansel and Sainz. \r\n\r\nThings are bittersweet in the SSV class. Polaris factory driver Kristen Matlock lost a large amount of time making repairs in the dunes. Unfortunately, she had to withdraw from the SSV class. The Dakar Experience class allows her to continue on to finish the event. Husband Wayne Matlock is still in the rally running 20th<\/sup> overall.
