The 23\u2011year\u2011old racer made the difficult decision, citing ongoing pain and repeated setbacks stemming from the injury.\r\n\r\nRobertson's year began with promise as part of Triumph Factory Racing\u2019s formidable four\u2011rider lineup\u2014joining teammates like Austin Forkner and Jordon Smith. However, his season unraveled quickly: a wrist injury first struck during the initial Monster Energy Supercross race in Anaheim, severely limiting his performance. Despite his efforts to rehabilitate, Robertson re\u2011injured the wrist at Round 1 of Pro Motocross in Pala, California.\r\n<p data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1110\">\u201cI\u2019ve made a really hard decision, but with my wrist injury still bothering me, I am stepping away from professional racing.\u201d \u201cI\u2019ve been at the practice track supporting the other riders on the team this summer and I\u2019ve been really enjoying it, as well as helping develop Triumph\u2019s amateur racing program,\u201d said Robertson.<\/p>\r\nAlthough Robertson is stepping back from professional competition, he remains active within the sport\u2014lending his experience to coaching at team practice sessions and aiding the development of Triumph\u2019s amateur racing program.
