[{"id":12035,"permalink":"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/2025\/02\/11\/brad-lovell-wins-overall-at-king-of-the-hammers-everyman-challenge\/","title":"Brad Lovell Wins Overall at King of the Hammers Everyman Challenge","content":"Once the dust settled, rocks stopped moving, trackers were reviewed and penalties were assessed, Brad Lovell was officially scored as the overall winner of the King of the Hammers Everyman Challenge and the 4600-class winner. Initially Amber Turner-Slawson was the first vehicle back to Hammertown and for a short time it looked like she would be the first female to secure an overall win. After tracking data was reviewed by the officials, it was determined Turner-Slawson had missed several virtual checkpoints along the course and assessed penalties for each one skipped.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11968\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/KOH-2025-EMC_Amber-Slawson-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_11972\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]<img class=\"wp-image-11972 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/KOH-2025-EMC_Lovell-Pass-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/> Brad Lovell makes a critical pass on Bailey Cole at Chocolate Thunder.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nTurner-Slawson finished third overall and second in her class. Cody Young finished second overall and first in his class competing against Turner-Slawson in the Legends class. Brad Lovell was driving a Bronco in the 4600-stock class. On the second lap, Lovell passed Bailey Cole in the rocks just below Chocolate Thunder and continued his charge towards the checkered flag. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you how thrilled I am to be here in the Ford Bronco at the finish line, it was dusty, it was intense,\u201d Lovell said in a finish line interview after the race. Overall, 120 cars went off the start line with most of the field unable to finish the race.
