Menzies has four consecutive Baja 400 wins. Thirty-one Trophy Trucks are registered to race the Baja 400.\r\n\r\nTrey Gibbs was the top qualifier in the Trophy Spec class. Gibbs is coming off a Pro-Lite championship in short course off-road racing. Gibbs will have to stay ahead of 24 other Spec trucks in the class on race day. The duo claimed the SCORE Baja 1000 win for the second year in a row. For Luke, the win is his third in a row. Starting second behind leader Bryce Menzies, it was a game of patience and smart driving. Late into the afternoon, the Menzies truck had a transmission failure. That immediately ended any hopes of winning the Baja 1000 for Menzies and his second driver Andy McMillin who is Luke\u2019s cousin. Behind Luke was his brother Dan. Both Trophy trucks held their positions well into the night finishing one and two on the podium. In addition to the Baja 1000 win, Luke is also the season Trophy Truck class champion.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cToday is really, really special for the entire team for quite a few reasons. Today is our third SCORE Baja 1000 in a row in the No. 83 SCORE Trophy Truck. That\u2019s unbelievable. Only two other people in the history of the SCORE Baja 1000 have done that \u2013 Rob MacCachren and Larry Ragland \u2013 two legends I have looked up to my entire life,\u201d said Luke McMillin.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nGustavo Vildolsola took home a win in the SCORE Trophy Truck Legends class. One hundred ninety vehicles are already registered to race. SCORE will hold a qualifying session for Trophy Truck, Class 1 and Trophy Truck Spec classes on Wednesday September 15th<\/sup>.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nRacers can prerun mile 33.5 all the way to 366.50. The first 33 miles of the race will be available to pre-run the day before the race starts. The course features 400 miles of rugged Baja terrain starting in Ensenada. It winds through Ojos Negros, heading south through silty terrain, canyons and washes. There are several terrain and elevation changes throughout the course before turning back to the north next to the Pacific Ocean.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cThis course has fast, rough and technical sections. It goes through several of new trails and it is a great example of what a challenging SCORE Baja race course looks like with several surprises for the racers.
