Vild\u00f3sola confirmed that his recovery is progressing, but he will not receive the necessary medical clearance in time for the Nov. 9-15 Baja 1000, which will be held entirely within Baja California Sur for the first time.\r\n\r\nThe Mexicali, Mexico, racer suffered a compressed spine, fractured vertebrae and multiple ligament injuries to his back during a rollover at the Baja Nevada 1000 in June. Vild\u00f3sola credited his HANS device with helping protect him during the violent crash.\r\n\r\nThe injuries also forced Vild\u00f3sola to miss the SCORE Baja 400 in September. Andy McMillin used Vild\u00f3sola's No. 21 Trophy Truck for qualifying, but Vild\u00f3sola ultimately remained sidelined.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_16366\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Tavo Vildosola announced on the team's facebook page he would not be racing the 2026 Baja 1000. Luke McMillin added another major accomplishment to his growing off-road racing r\u00e9sum\u00e9 Sunday, winning the 7th SCORE Baja 400 and completing the SCORE Baja Grand Slam. McMillin drove his No. 83 McMillin Racing AWD Ford Raptor Mason to the overall victory on the 423.42-mile course with an official time of 8 hours, 40 minutes and 50 seconds. The victory was his third consecutive SCORE Trophy Truck win of the 2026 season.<\/p>\r\n

The San Diego racer\u2019s Baja Grand Slam now includes victories in the SCORE San Felipe 250, SCORE Baja 500 and the legendary SCORE Baja 1000, joining an exclusive group of racers to accomplish the feat. Bryce Menzies of Las Vegas finished second overall in the No. 7 Ford Raptor Mason, just 2 minutes and 32 seconds behind McMillin. Kevin Thompson and Harley Letner finished third, while Alan Ampudia was fourth.<\/p>\r\n

The motorcycle overall was led by Tyler Lynn, who teamed with Sam Pretscherer and Carter Klein aboard an SLR Honda CRF450X to win the Pro Moto Unlimited class and the overall motorcycle competition in 8:53:33. The victory marked the team\u2019s third consecutive SCORE World Desert Championship win of the season.<\/p>\r\n

In the other major four-wheel classes, Brad Wilson and Kyle Quinn scored the Class 1 victory in their No. 138 Jimco-Chevy with a time of 10:19:29. Major controversy has surround Price at the conclusion of the SCORE San Felipe 250. Price is accused of placing rock obstacles on the racecourse during a pre-run last week. Video surfaced online showing Price at his UTV talking to someone who came up to him out in the desert. The video cuts off before Price is able to respond. It does not show Price actually placing any rocks on the course. Large boulders were reported on the course at that same location to SCORE by other racers Saturday during the race.\r\n\r\nSCORE responded Monday by disqualifying Price from the race. In a statement, SCORE said a CRB reviewed evidence submitted. As a result, a decision was made to disqualify Price and navigator Bauman for unsportsmanlike conduct. The statement does not mention any course altering or boulders being placed on the course or what evidence they reviewed. The statement goes on to say After evaluating all materials provided, the CRB concluded that the actions in question were attributable to Toby Price and Brent Bauman. There are times in life when circumstances require significant action and this is one of those circumstances.\r\n\r\nThe video that is circulating does not provide evidence of me placing any rocks, the witness statement does not provide evidence of me making any rock placement and the conversations at the site where the video was taken were not with me except for me telling a girl I was ok when asked and that I was clearing a new line.\r\n\r\nThat being said the CRB has made its decision and I am obviously treating this as final and respect the process that they went through to get to it. I have the highest respect for SCORE International and for the people of the Baja Peninsula that provide their cooperation to the event. The safety of everyone competing and spectating in all forms of motorsport should be of paramount consideration.\r\n\r\nThis is obviously not how I expected the San Felipe 250 to go but it is how it ended up. Ampudia now has back-to-back SCORE wins, with a victory at the season opening San Felipe 250 back in April. Finishing behind Ampudia in second place was Toby Price.
