The Pro Motocross series landed back on the west coast at Washougal, Washington over the weekend.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_10141\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Chase Sexton celebrates his third consecutive overall Pro Moto win at Washougal. Photo: MX Sports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nAaron Plessinger grabbed the holeshot in the opening moto of the day. Sexton, who started outside of the top 10, wasted zero time making passes around multiple riders. His lap times got faster and faster. With just a couple minutes to go, Sexton had reached Plessinger and went on the attack. Plessigner fought back but briefly stalled allowing Sexton to get by and win the moto. In the second moto, Justin Cooper was out front. Jason Anderson made a pass for the lead until Chase Sexton came knocking on the door. Sexton made a pass and never looked back winning the moto by 13 seconds for a weekend sweep, his third of the season.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_10139\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Haiden Deegan cruises to a Moto 2 win at Washougal. Photo: MX Sports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan went to battle side-by-side. Vialle prevailed. A mistake caused Deegan to go down allowing Ryder DiFrancesco to gain second position. Deegan was able to get back into second but it wasn\u2019t enough to pass Vialle who took the moto win. In the second moto, Tom Vialle was back at it with another holeshot. Deegan attempted to get a run on Vialle again but was unsuccessful. As the laps ticked away, Deegan finally made a pass on Vialle using an alternate line. Deegan continued to extend his lead for the win. Deegan\u2019s 2-1 and Vialle\u2019s 1-2 finishes put both riders in a virtual tie. Deegan ended up with the overall as the second moto carries more weight. The latest round was held over the weekend as the series moved back west to Washougal MX Park in Washougal, Washington.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis was out front with the holeshot in the first 450 moto. Ferrandis could only hold off Jett for so long before a pass was made on the leader. Sexton soon grabbed second as Ferrandis was held to third and Jett took the win. In the second moto, the gate malfunctioned causing a restart. Aaron Plessinger grabbed the holeshot until Jett took it away 10 minutes into the moto. Sexton moved back into second. He was able to get close to Jett to strike for the lead but went over his bike. When Sexton remounted he had no chance to catch Jett.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the first 250 moto, Haiden Deegan was out front. Deegan continued to extend his lead as every lap passed. When the checkered flag flew, Deegan was unchallenged and swept the moto. In the second 250 moto, Justin Cooper had the holeshot. Deegan was just a few positions behind passing motorcycles. In the final minutes, Deegan was in hot pursuit of the leader. Deegan soon charged past Cooper for the lead and win. Eli Tomac has had a winning streak in the 450 class, but it appears Chase Sexton edged him out in a tie breaker.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe opening round began with Ryan Dungey grabbing the holeshot. Chase Sexton was right there as well. Sexton moved to the lead and shortly after, Dungey experienced a mechanical issue with his bike. Tomac fell into second, chasing Dungey down. As the clock wound down, Tomac finally made a pass for the lead. Tomac\u2019s tire would get caught in a rut, sending the rider down. Sexton who was close behind crashed into Tomac and also went down. Both quickly got back underway, neither losing a position. Tomac went on to win the moto with Sexton finishing second. Jason Anderson made a late pass on Ken Roczen for third. In the second moto, the battle continued between Sexton and Tomac. Sexton held off Tomac at every turn winning the moto effectively ending Tomac\u2019s streak.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nOver in the 250 class, Jo Shimoda had a moto 1 holeshot. The Lawrence siblings were right behind. Soon Hunter seized the lead. Jett followed a short time later getting around Shimoda for second. Hunter would win with Jett second and Shimoda third. In the second moto, Justin Cooper found himself out front. Shimoda and the Lawrence siblings were right behind. At some point Hunter went down allowing Jett to move into third. Jett eventually made a pass on Shimoda. Jett was never able to catch Cooper who grabbed his first season wire to wire win. The event marked the second half of the season. Washougal was Round 7 in the series.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nChase Sexton grabbed the holeshot in the first 450 moto. Behind Sexton, Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen were locked in a battle for position. Marvin Musquin also joined them. Sexton maintained his lead and claimed the win. In Moto 2, Cooper Webb briefly had the lead before Dylan Ferrandis got around him. Eli Tomac smoothly got around several riders to the second spot. Tomac got right behind Ferrandis but by then he was out of laps to move to the lead. Ferrandis takes the win and Sexton grabbed the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, several riders were collected in a crash in turn 1, Justin Cooper was out front in an early lead and eventual first moto win. RJ Hampshire and Jeremy Martin were on the podium in second and third place. Justin Cooper was back out front with the holeshot in the second moto with Jeremy Martin looking to steal his spot. Martin finally got around Cooper. Cooper later made a mistake and went off the bike losing his second-place spot and washing away his hopes for the overall win of the weekend. That title went to Jeremy Martin who continued on to win the second moto.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis has the season points lead over Ken Roczen. El Tomac sits third.
