The event venue was Marvel Stadium in Docklands. Roczen, who stood atop the points in the 2022 inaugural season was back to defend the 2023 title. Also securing a championship in the 250 class was Max Anstie.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8190\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-WSX-Australia_Roczen-Kissing-Trophy-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nNineteen points separated the top four riders in the WSX class. Joey Savtagy came into the weekend as the points leader. Roczen however showed he was the strongest rider all night going 1-1-3. The main event was full of twists, turns and high energy.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8084\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WSX23_AbuDhabi_Savatgy-Podium-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nJoey Savatgy emerged with the victory after a 1-4-2 performance. On Savatgy\u2019s heels was Dean Wilson who secured second place in the standings. Meantime, defending champion Ken Roczen seemed to struggle as he started in the back row of all three final events. The series is pulling out of events scheduled for Singapore, Germany and Canada. The announcement comes on the heels of a new ownership deal for SX Global. Investors Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori join current CEO Adam Bailey to lead the series.\r\n\r\n\u201cSingapore,\u00a0Germany,\u00a0and Canada remain\u00a0crucial growth markets for\u00a0WSX, and we intend to return\u00a0to each of those markets very soon.\u00a02023\u00a0was\u00a0to be\u00a0WSX\u2019s first foray into these markets and we want to make sure we do each of these crucial\u00a0markets\u00a0absolute justice,\u201d said CEO Adam Bailey.\r\n\r\nWSX Global is planning on looking at the cancelled venues for future events. The Abu Dhabi and Australian Grand Prix events remain on the 2023 schedules.
