Toyota debuted the “TacoZilla” this week at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The vehicle is based on a Toyota TRD Sport Pickup truck. Built by Marty Schwerter and the Toyota Motorsports Garage team, the truck is all custom.
The camper cab has rounded edges that blend in with the truck. A large pop-up Lexan skylight provides ambient light and natural air circulation into the camper. The interior is fully insulated with full bathroom and hot water shower. There is a functioning stove and sink along with 3D printed table that can be converted to wall art or ample sleeping space.
The paint job brings back the old-school vintage yellow, orange and bronze lines. Fender flares and General Tire Grabbers were also added to the truck. In all, 2-inches of wheel clearance was added to the truck making it functional for overlanding.
