The annual Sand Sports Super Show was held in Costa Mesa, California and the crowds came out. The show marks the beginning of the “riding season,” a time when the western deserts are cooling off from extreme heat. Families flock to popular dune locations such as the Imperial Sand Dunes or “Glamis” in Imperial County.
The Sand Sports Super Show was an opportunity for consumers to preview new products, purchase accessories for their UTV or even buy a new one. There was plenty of eye candy to see at the show including custom one-off builds. Over at the 4WP booth, RJ Anderson’s new Polaris concept was on display. The vehicle integrates a Jet Ski on rack mounted to the UTV, so RJ can play on the water while out off-roading. Other builds had custom bumpers, racks, lights wheels and tires. There was no shortage of ways to accessories today’s UTV brands.
Robby Gordon had several Speed UTV’s on display as well. Future customers had an opportunity to see the development builds up close. Gordon is close to making deliveries to customers who have already put down deposits on the vehicles. Popular racers were also on hand for demos and autograph signings.
