Crandon International Raceway and Mid-America Outdoors have signed a long-term agreement that will create an Ultra4 World Championship race during Labor Day weekend. Ultra4 has raced at Crandon since 2018, including on the “World Championship” Sunday at the iconic race track.
Crandon will be part of Ultra4’s 2023 schedule and will be a point race for drivers in the series. The Ultra4 series was purchased in March by Oklahoma-based Mid America Outdoors.
“This new agreement is a direct result of Crandon not only opening its doors to Ultra4-style racing at the largest short-course event in the world, but also successfully blending two distinctive forms of off-road racing into one massive lifestyle festival weekend. We wanted to make certain Crandon’s investment in a hybrid rock racing course, their first-tier, livestream production package and a massive new spectator viewing area will be enjoyed by racers and fans for years to come. There is no question this announcement represents a key building block to our vision for Ultra4 USA’s future,” said Mid-America Outdoors Founder Jason Robinett.
