Dakar Rally Stage 10: Benavides Leads Bikes; Victory for Quintero

The Dune surfing has begun for the Dakar Rally. The next stages take the competitors through Saudi Arabia’s Empty Quarter. Today’s stage is the shortest one on the rally.

Ross Branch brought the win home for the bikes. Skyler Howes struggled in the dunes with a horrible 15th place finish. As a result, Kevin Benavides moves to the lead in the overall rankings.

Seth Quintero finally came away with a win in the T3 class. Guillaume De Mevius continues to lead the class with Austin Jones in second.

Sebastien Loeb claimed another win for the Bahrain Raid Xtreme team. Still not enough to knock Nasser Al-Attiyah down from his overall pedestal. Al-Attiyah settled for a fourth-place finish.
