Back to Back Supercross Wins for Eli Tomac

Eli Tomac is well on his way in a quest to win another Supercross Championship. Tomac grabbed his second victory of the season at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego Saturday night. Behind Tomac, Cooper Webb brought home another second-place podium finish. The new stadium is the first time Supercross has been held there.

When the gate dropped in the 450 main event, Colt Nichols had the holeshot. Adam Cianciarulo made a quick pass on Nichols for the lead. It wasn’t long before Cooper Webb moved into the lead but that was short lived as Tomac pushed his way to the front and put at least a 1 second on Webb for the rest of the moto. Justin Barcia held off Ken Roczen for the final podium spot.

In the 250 Wester Regional class, Jett Lawrence shot to lead and never looked back. Cameron McAdoo made it to second at the halfway point with RJ Hampshire chasing him down. Hampshire eventually made a pass for a second-place finish. McAdoo rounded out the final spot on the podium.

Supercross heads back to Anaheim next weekend.
