Jo Shimoda OUT for Eastern Regional Supercross Opening Rounds

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Team is suffering another blow. Rider Jo Shimoda crashed in practice and will be forced to sit out the opening round of the Easter Regional Supercross Championship. Shimoda is the second rider to sustain an injury on the team. Seth Hammaker sustained a wrist injury that will also sideline him for the opening round of the Eastern Regional Supercross Championship which is set for February 4th in Austin, Texas.

“I’m doing my best to focus forward on my return to racing,” said Shimoda. “Our goal was to compete for the 250SX Eastern Regional Championship and I know we had been doing the right work to make that happen. Unfortunately, this crash will cause me to miss the start of the season, but I still aim to be back on the track racing for wins before the end of supercross.”

A date for Shimoda’s return has not been set and doctors will continue to monitor his recovery progress.
