The Sonora Rally got underway Sunday with a Stage 1 Prologue event. The rally is taking place in Hermosillo, Mexico. The Sonora Rally is stop number three for the FIA-FIM World Championships. Nasser Al-Attiyah came away with a stage win for the T1 car class. In Monday’s stage 2, Frenchman Sébastien Loeb won the stage moving him to the lead in the current overall standings.
In the bike class, Daniel Sanders is leading overall with a Stage 2 win. Sanders finished the opening Stage 1 prologue in second. The rally will end on Thursday with a total of 5 stages.
