Off-Road racing legend Johnny Johnson has passed away. Johnson had just recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Johnson was also in attendance at this year’s NORRA Mexican 1000. Johnson was recently diagnosed with liver cancer.

Johnson had 112 career class victories from 1968 to 1992. He has won the SCORE Baja 1000 fifteen times. In 2010, Johnson was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. Johnson was often seen hanging out at the Legacy Lodge in Baja. He was known for helping fellow racers whenever it was needed.
