FIM Word Supercross Championship is making changes to the 2023 schedule. The series is pulling out of events scheduled for Singapore, Germany and Canada. The announcement comes on the heels of a new ownership deal for SX Global. Investors Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori join current CEO Adam Bailey to lead the series.
“Singapore, Germany, and Canada remain crucial growth markets for WSX, and we intend to return to each of those markets very soon. 2023 was to be WSX’s first foray into these markets and we want to make sure we do each of these crucial markets absolute justice,” said CEO Adam Bailey.
WSX Global is planning on looking at the cancelled venues for future events. The Abu Dhabi and Australian Grand Prix events remain on the 2023 schedules. Full refunds will be available to fans who bought tickets to the now cancelled races.
