It was over before it even started. American Outdoor Events will not be moving forward with plans for a national short course series in 2024. Originally announced in September, AOE had planned to host races at several notable tracks across the country. AOE also promised drivers a comprehensive television package and large payouts.
AOE will instead shift its focus back to growing the Mid America Outdoor park in Jay, Oklahoma. A statement from Jason Robinett and his team read: “The original focus and purpose of AOE and Mid-America Outdoors was a family focused outdoors park that impacts the Northeast Oklahoma area. AOE will refocus their energy more closely to home and more in alignment with the original vision of the founders.”
AOE also owns the Ultra4 and Great American Shortcourse Regional Series. So far their 2024 schedules are intact as does the local MAO racing series.
