The final round of the FIM World Supercross Championship was held in Australia over the weekend and Ken Roczen secured his first back-to-back Championship. The event venue was Marvel Stadium in Docklands. Roczen, who stood atop the points in the 2022 inaugural season was back to defend the 2023 title. Also securing a championship in the 250 class was Max Anstie.

Nineteen points separated the top four riders in the WSX class. Joey Savtagy came into the weekend as the points leader. Roczen however showed he was the strongest rider all night going 1-1-3. Roczen had the speed to carry him through the whoops and earned much needed points with the top finishes to move past Savatgy for the championship.

In the final SX2 event, Anstie dominated early leading the pack over the whoops section. Defending champion Shane McElrath continued to struggle this round when a tough block became lodged in his rear wheel causing him a DNF. That would erase any chances McElrath would have to locking in another WSX championship. Anstie continued his domination leading both events.
