The season opener for the 2024 Supercross race at Anaheim is just hours away. The 450 class features a stacked talent pool and it could be anyone’s game. Riders spoke during a press conference at the venue it was clear they were fired up and ready for the season. It was also the first time they got time to ride the track since last year.

Eli Tomac is back after a heartbreaking season ending injury. Tomac was leading the series with just two weekends to go before he landed wrong and injured his Achilles tendon. Tomac spent the next several months focusing on recovery. He was back on the bike in the off-season testing. Chase Sexton has a whole new team, riding for Red Bull KTM. “I am ready for the challenge and I am a much different person now,” says Sexton.

Also, Ken Roczen is back for Suzuki. Roczen struggled last year and didn’t get a lot of off-season test time coming into the 2023 season. With a year on the bike and coming off a WSX championship, Roczen is ready to come back and make a statement. Jett Lawrence went undefeated during the outdoor season and is looking for his first 450 Supercross Championship. His brother Hunter will be in the same class as well this year. Other riders such as Cooper Webb, Jason Anderson and Malcolm Stewart will all be top contenders in the class.
