A new class is coming to Travis Pastrana’s Nitrocross. The “Sierra Car” is a new vehicle that will run in a cutting-edge electric class. The partnership is with Sierra Car, a company that builds an electric type spec class single-seat buggy.

The Sierra Car is powered by technology from Hypercraft. The platform provides a rally stepping stone class for drivers of all disciplines. The purpose of the class is to develop drivers into full-blown rally racers.

“This new class and partnership marks a pivotal moment in the motorsport industry,” said Nitrocross General Manager Chip Pankow. “Together, we’re redefining action sports by pairing the most innovative, race-proven electric vehicle with the world of Nitrocross, and have made it available for immediate purchase. From day one, Nitrocross has sought to deliver unprecedented driving experiences while creating pathways for developing drivers. The SIERRA Car support series is the embodiment of that purpose.”

The Sierra Car Echo R-Spec is all-electric and features 306 horsepower with 365 ft/lbs of torque. It weighs in at just 1,550 lbs before a driver gets in the cockpit. The Sierra Car boasts a top speed of 100 mph and can go zero to sixty in 3.8 seconds. The vehicle features FOX 2.5 Q53 shocks and Willwood 4-piston disc brakes. A full field of drivers are ready to take this vehicle to the next level.
