Honda HRC is allowing Jo Shimoda to race Round 7 of the D.I.D. All Japan Motocross Championship. The event will be held at the end of September at Off Road Village in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture, just a week after the completion of the SuperMotocross Playoffs.

I’m stoked on the opportunity to race in my home country,” Shimoda said. “The fans there show me so much support, and I want to thank them by going back to race as often as I can.”

Shimoda finished fourth in the 2024 AMA Supercross 250SX West series. He also has three Pro Motocross 250 podiums this season before injuring his collarbone. Shimoda should be at 100 percent health when he races in Japan according to a Honda press release. Shimoda will race the new 2025 CRF450R.
