It was a wild ride for several Supercross riders. Jett Lawerence crashed twice during the main event, cancelling any hopes he had of winning. Out front, Chase Sexton was on a mission. Even Ken Roczen who briefly put pressure on Sexton couldn’t make the pass.

“I kind of knew where I was at coming in here. I knew I had good speed. I feel more like myself in 2023 when I was fast, but I feel like I’m a little more mature now and I can get out front and kind of run my own laps and not make mistakes, so it was a fun race,” said Sexton.

Over in the 250 class, Jo Shimoda was out front early. While Julien Beaumer was the fastest qualifier in his heat race, Shimoda was on the move all the way to the checkered flag. “This is the start I was looking for every single year,” said Shimoda. Supercross heads to Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego next weekend.
