Eli Tomac Wins Second Round of Supercross in San Diego

Eli Tomac took the big victory at the second round of Supercross racing in San Diego at Snapdragon Stadium over the weekend. Tomac has 53 wins under his belt. This is expected to be Tomac’s last year of racing.

When the gate dropped in the 450 class, Cooper Webb was in the lead. Early in the race Tomac took over that spot with Jett Lawrence on his heels. “It has been a long time since I’ve won one of these 20-minute Main Events. This feels so good,” said Tomac at the finish.

In the 250 class, 18-year-old Julien Beaumer secured his first career Supercross win. Cole Davies led the race at the start. Beaumer made several moves, getting around Davies to hold on to the lead all the way to the checkered flag.  Supercross returns to Anaheim Stadium for Round 3.
