Bryce Menzies has been forced to sit out of the upcoming SCORE Baja 500. Menzies sustained a neck injury during qualifying at the San Felipe 250 back in March. Menzies posted the following statement on social media: “I initially thought it was not a big deal, upon returning from the race I was still dealing with constant headaches. I decided to go to the hospital where we discovered I had a ruptured artery going to brain which led to having a stroke.”
Menzies goes on in the statement to say he is working with various specialists to figure out why it happened and he is expected to make a 100 percent recovery. Those specialists have not yet cleared Menzies to race. Menzies is expected to compete in the SCORE Baja 400 in September. Menzies has won three Baja 500 events in his career in the coveted Trophy Truck division.
