Bryce Menzies Claims Baja 500 Victory

Bryce Menzies came home with a SCORE Baja 500 victory. Menzies took the overall win in a field of 240 starters at the 55th SCORE Baja 500, driving the course in nine hours, three minutes and 38 seconds. Menzies started the race in third position behind Luke McMillin and Alan Ampudia. Ampudia would get taken out of the race with mechanical issues. All that was left for Menzies was to chase down rival Luke, which he finally did. From there it was clean air to the finish.

“The coast section, I hadn’t done it since 2015, and it was one of the coolest sections in my life. We had some close calls here and there, but overall, it was an awesome day. Coming to the finish to win my fourth SCORE Baja 500 was really special. I was looking for redemption and I redeemed myself today,” said Menzies at the finish line.

Twenty-Year old Arturo Salas Jr from Chula Vista and teammate Clayton Roberts came away with the overall motorcycle win on a KTM 450XCF. Salas was locked in a fierce battle to the end with three other moto teams with multiple lead changes. Brock Heger claimed the overall UTV win, Gustavo Vildolsola took the win in Trophy Truck Legends, Code Reid won class 1 and Jason McNeil was victorious in Trophy Truck Spec.
