Round 8 of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship delivered another pivotal weekend at Washougal MX Park, where Hunter Lawrence and Cole Davies emerged with overall victories in the 450 and 250 classes. The results tightened both championship battles as the series entered its final three rounds of the season.
In the premier 450 Class, Hunter Lawrence secured the overall victory with consistent 2-2 moto finishes after a controversial conclusion to the second moto. Jett Lawrence appeared poised for a perfect 1-1 sweep after dominating the opening moto and crossing the finish line first in Moto 2, but a post-race penalty for leaving the track elevated Hunter to the moto win and the overall victory. Jett finished second overall, while Jorge Prado rounded out the podium with a pair of solid rides.
The 250 Class belonged to Cole Davies, who delivered a flawless 1-1 performance to earn the overall victory and significantly tighten the championship race. Davies capitalized after points leader Levi Kitchen and Julien Beaumer became entangled in a first-turn incident during the opening moto, forcing both riders to charge through the field. Kitchen recovered to salvage valuable points but surrendered ground in the title standings as Davies completed the weekend sweep.
