Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Moves July Season Opener

Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Moves July Season Opener

An extension in Nevada’s phased opening has forced the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series to move its season opener to Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California. Nevada was scheduled to move into Phase 3 at the beginning of July, however Governor Steve Sisolak is extending Phase 2 until the end of July. This means the series will not be allowed to host an event under the phased opening plan.

The Governor’s decision was based on an uptick of COVID-19 cases in the state. The series was originally set to host the opening rounds Saturday and Sunday July 25-26. An agreement has been reached with Glen Helen Raceway to move the event there on the same dates, however details have not yet been announced on the schedule or whether fans will be allowed to attend.

DirtSportsWorld will keep you updated as details come in.
