Harley Letner, Kevin Thompson Win Parker 425

The Concrete Motorsports Team of Kevin Thompson and Harley Letner are already making a statement this season in Best the In the Desert. The Concrete team won the 2020 season championship and are already putting themselves in contention for the 2021 season. Letner and Thompson shared driving duties at the Best in the Desert Parker 425.

Josh De Jong had the lead in the lead in the #17 Trick-Truck before pulling off with issues towards the first lap. B.J. Baldwin also had a strong run before Steve Olliges moved into the lead. Olliges was running solid until he lost steering 28 miles from the finish. Thompson who was driving the Concrete Motorsports #70 truck, put his head down and raced to the finish for the overall win.

In the 6100 class, Dustin Grabowski would get a top finish. The 6200 win went to Connor McMullen and Nick Carolan. In the 1500 class, Mike Frye was awarded a win.

This is the second year Best in the Desert held a two-day event. Other classes that raced Friday’s event included Trophy Lite where a win went to Greg Bragg.Wheeler Morgan won class 10. We will have expanded Parker 425 coverage in the February issue of DirtSportsWorld Magazine.
