Bryce Menzies continues his winning streak. Back out in the desert after February’s King of the Hammers win, Menzies won the overall SCORE San Felipe 250. Menzies qualified on the pole, started out front and never looked back. He stayed out front all day even with pressure from behind. Menzies finished just 15 seconds in front of defending champion Luke McMillin. Luke’s cousin Andy, who originally started behind Menzies finished third.
The San Felipe 250 is first race in the SCORE International desert series. SCORE saw a full field of 269 starters for the San Felipe 250. According to SCORE, that’s the highest third highest number in the 34-year history of the event. Last year’s event was cancelled due to COVID restrictions.
Shelby Reid won in Class 1, sharing driving duties with her son Cody. Jason Coleman took a victory in the Trophy Truck Spec class with Ryan Hancock finishing second. Chase Warren also won the class 10 race. The team of Brandon Schueler and Caden MacCachren took home the overall UTV victory.
