BRP Resumes Operations After Fire at Can-Am Plant

BRP will resume operations at its Juarez, Mexico facility after a large fire burned in a storage yard. BRP manufactures Can-Am side-by-sides at the facility. The manufacturing facility itself was not damaged. All workers were safely evacuated.

The fire broke out on Saturday, July 17th. Something reportedly exploded at the facility. Thick black smoke could be seen for miles as Mexican authorities worked to extinguish the fire. Several UTV’s burned and were unsalvageable. BRP says the units that were lost represent six days of production and dealers and customers can expect delivery delays while the plant catches back up with production.

The fire is under investigation.
