Benavides and Howes are the factory riders for the Husqvarna Factory Race Team. The two will conquer the biggest rally event of the year– the Dakar Rally. The Rally starts January 1st in Saudi Arabia.
The duo will be riding the all new Husqvarna FR 450 Rally bike. Benavides spent much of 2021 recovering from a shoulder injury after crashing at Dakar during stage 9. He returned to competition at the first round of FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship with a sixth-place finish.
Howes was signed to the team in April. Howes raced the Dakar Rally as a privateer and by stage three he was leading the moto class. Howes finished the rally in the top five.
