Chase Sexton Gets First 450 Class Win at San Diego Supercross

There have been three different winners in the last three rounds of Supercross. Chase Sexton was the latest winner over the weekend in San Diego. This is Sexton’s first win in the 450 class.

Sexton had the holeshot when the gate dropped but Marvin Musquin grabbed the early lead. Sexton wasn’t having any of it and cut back under Musquin to get back out front and ended up staying there for the during the duration of the race. Eli Tomac and Dylan Ferrandis rounded out the final two spots on the podium. Tomac leads the season point standings by a single point over Chase Sexton who is also tied with Cooper Webb.

In the 250SX class, Michael Mosiman also earned his first class win. Mosiman had the holeshot. Behind him a pile-up collected several bikes including some top racers. Hunter Lawrence made it through the mess and paced right in behind Mosiman. With just a couple minutes left on the clock, Lawrence got sideways in the whoop and crashed into the back of Mosiman’s bike. Mosiman held on to win the race. Christian Craig is the current points leader for the season.
