Great American Shortcourse Hosts Season Opener at San Bernardino County Fairgrounds

Great American Shortcourse is back in its second season. The season opener was held over the weekend at San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville. The event featured a full two-days of racing.

In Saturday’s Round 1, Ashton Williams held the top spot on the podium in the Junior 2 Kart Class. Mikey Childress was second with Olive Hoover third. Round 2 was drama filled as drivers got into each other leading to cautions. Two black flags were thrown for rough driving. Through it all, Lake Adler saw an opportunity to get to the front, holding on for the win.

In Modified Kart, Talan Martin swept the weekend. On Sunday, the battle was between sibling Cade Martin. Also sweeping the weekend in the RZR 170 class was Declan Shields.

Other podium finishes went to Robert Orr in Mini Stock in Round 1. In Round 2 it was Anthony Csuzi in the top spot. Cody Hodgson was on the podium both days in Production 1000 UTV while Trey Gibbs saw a Round 2 Pro Lite win.
