Dakar Rally Stage 5: Seth Quintero Keeps the Winning Streak Alive for the Americans

Stage 5 of the Dakar Rally took the competitors around the Ha’il region for a special that was all sand. Navigation in the sand was made difficult by the recent rains. Co-drivers had to be precise on their roadbooks.

Seth Quintero kept the winning streak alive for the Americans in the T3 class, notching another podium for the Red Bull Junior Team. This is Quintero’s first win this year and the tricky sand proved to be his specialty.

In the car class, all eyes were on Nasser Al Attiyah who brought home the days victory for Toyota Gazoo Racing. Carlos Sainz finished second. The victory helps Al Attiyah stretch his overall lead in the rankings.

In the bike class Adrien Van Beveren claimed a win in the Monster Energy Honda Team. Skyler Howes moves into the lead for the overall rankings.
