Dakar Rally Stage 7: Cancellation for the Bikes; Americans Win Again

Saturday’s Stage 7 was cancelled for the bikes and quads, but not for the four-wheeled vehicles. Officials decided on the cancellation because of torrential rains which could have caused major safety issues. The stage took competitors from Riyadh to Al Duwadimi. The Americans are back in winning form.

Mitch Guthrie Jr and Kellon Walch secured another stage win for the Red Bull Junior Team in the T3 class. Guilaume De Mevius continues to lead Austin Jones in the overall ranking.

Yazeed Al Rajhi got his first stage win of the Dakar Rally beating out some of the top toughest competitors. It was difficult for the drivers because there were no bike tracks to follow. Missing from the top 10 was overall leader Nasser Al Attiyah.
