Can-Am is coming in hot for 2024 with the all-new Maverick R. The side-by-side was designed with desert racing and serious off-roading in mind. The new Maverick R is all about performance. Can-Am has enjoyed successful sales of its previous models. Can-Am has also had dozens of podium sweeps across Dakar, King of the Hammers and several other desert racing series. The Maverick R is definitely race inspired.
It starts with a 240-horsepower engine mated to a Dual Clutch Transmission. The 999T Rotax engine is unlike anything in the Can Am line-up. An all-new turbo charger was designed for performance on the engine. Dual fuel injectors feed each cylinder and a wastegate controls the turbocharger’s boost pressure. There are three engine modes that change the shift points depending on the driving style you want. In the Sport+ mode, the throttle goes wide-open for max power. The front was designed with aggressive styling. The cage is more rounded the way off-road racers like it. The suspension and ride quality are controlled by the newest Live Valve technology from FOX with the 2.5 and 3.0 PODIUM shocks. The Maverick R rides on 32-inch tires mounted to 16-inch wheels that have a six-lug bolt pattern.
Inside, the Maverick R can be controlled by paddle shifters on the steering wheel in “manual mode” A new 10.25-inch touch screen allows you to see everything going on with the side-by-side. Storage compartments are water proof, keeping electronics safe and dry. Sleek half-doors complete the look of the Maverick R. The Maverick R will come in four different configurations including R, R X, R X rs, and R X rs with smart-shox.
