Champ Off Road Crowns Champions at Crandon

Saturday racing at Crandon International Raceway was the season ending points race for the Championship Off Road Racing series. In several classes, the points spread was tight so finishing positions were extremely important.

Mickey Thomas secured the Pro-2 Championship in the Champ Off Road Racing Series.

In the Pro-2 class, Ricky Gutierrez led the race wire to wire with 21 other trucks breathing down his neck. Mickey Thomas who had been consistent on the podium all season stayed out of any trouble. A sixth-place finish for him at Crandon would earn him his first ever season points championship proving that his new truck build for 2024 was the perfect combination for success.

CJ Greaves adds another championship to his impressive resume.

In Pro-4, Cole Mamer was a man on a mission ripping around the Crandon racetrack at full speed. He earned his first ever Pro-4 victory on Saturday. CJ Greaves who has over a dozen Pro-4 Championships on his resume earned another one. It was a good day for Greaves who also secured the both the Pro Stock Side-by-Side and Pro Side-by-Side championships. Other championships this season went to Jordan Bernloeher in Pro Buggy and Dylan Parsons in the Pro Spec class.

Trey Gibbs locked up the Pro-Lite Championship before arriving at Crandon.

Trey Gibbs had already locked in his championship win at Bark River. Gibbs started the race in the lead but was forced into the hot pit. Gibbs finished in 7th place. Matt Wood won the final race of the season. It as Wood’s first career Pro-Lite victory.
